Publikat Publishing Dave the Chimp - Part of book

With the latest book series about street artists the author C100 and
the Publikat publishing house are connecting to the success of “The Art
of Rebellion” which was presenting an overview about street art as a
form of coeval art for the first time seven years ago. The series “Part
of Rebellion” is now going deeply into details. Every release is
exclusively devoted to one major international street artist and his
work.

In the end of 2008 the kick off artist was FLYING
FÖRTRESS from Munich – now we have the privilege to present DAVE THE CHIMP from London in the second volume. Barely one publication of
the last two years hit the market without including one of his works. In
this book his varied and always very humorous creations will be shown
in full scope. Lots of street artists still define themselves by
stickers on lanterns and mailboxes of capital cities. Dave instead
constantly comes up with new brilliant ideas. Unforgotten are his
instillations for Halloween 2005 in the city park of London or his
steady spawning “Human Bein’s” in Berlin.

His art on canvas as well as his skills as an illustrator won’t get
him bored. Always loyal to his roots of skateboarding lots of projects
like the companies VANS, TRASHER
or HESSENMOB were born and even exhibitions
on all continents were made by Dave.

No matter which medium is used all his works are combining his
unmistakably sense of humor. You can literally feel the fun he’s having
doing his work. The presented book is carrying this spirit forward to
the readers and there propably won’t be anyone on this earth who can
page through the 128 coloured pages without smiling.
